  ns2:text """Pievedot lūtes sėklu laukiem!

Dobeles rajona kolchozs „Komunars“ 1955. gadā no baltā āboliņa 30 hektaru liela sėklu lauka, ko aplidoja 17 pašu kolchoza bišu saimes, caurmerā ieguva 6,7 centnerus sėklu. Turpietim 1957. gadā, kad šā kolchoza [?] [?] organizēja baltā āboliņa sėklu lauku intensīvu apputeksnēšanu, pievedot vēl 50 bišu saimes no citām saimniecibām papildus jau esošajam, kolchozs caurmerā ieguva 14 centnerus sėklu no hektara.

Petijumos noskaidrots, ka pilna sėklu ražu no sarkanā āboliņa ziediem iegūst, ja katru āboliņa zieda apmeklē 5—12 bites un atētaj tur bagātīgu ziedputekšņu maisījumu. Tādus apstākļus var radīt, ja sarkanā āboliņa sėklu laukam pieved caurmera ne mazāk kā 3, bet vēl labāk — 5 bišu saimes uz 1 sējumu hektara. Latvijas PSU apstākļos ar 5 bišu saimem no 1 hektara iegūti 6 centneri sarkanā āboliņa sėklu. Sėklu laukam bišu saimes jāpieved tieši pirms augu ziedēšanas sākuma. Bišu saimes [?] naktis. Ja tās [?] 1—2—3 km attālamā no dravas, tad jābēto piesardzības pasākumi, lai lidojošās bites neatgrieztos dravas novietnē. Var rīkoties šādi: 1) bišu saimes iepriekš aizved uz meda gumbam (avenēm, krūkļiem) un tieši pirms apputeksnējamo augu ziedēšanas pieved sėklu laukam; 2) [?] nedēļa pirms bišu saīnju izvēšanas izvēldo speciālās saimes no jaunajām bitēm, kas nelido atpakaļ. Tādās bišu saimes pieved sėklu laukiem jau nedēļa pirms augu ziedēšanas.

Daži biškopji, atsaukdamies uz savu pieredzi, ieteic vēl šādus piesardzības pasākumus: 1) bišu saimes pieved apputeksnējamo augu sėklu laukam tieši no dravas, nekavējoties pieliekot [?] skrejai [?] vairodziņu, kas garāks par skreju, lai bišu izlidojumu novirzītu gar vairodziņa galiem; pēc nedaudzām dienām vairodziņu atņem; 2) [?] saimes pirms izvēšanas novieto uz parīs dienām [?] telpā, [?] skreju, lai stropu nodrošinātu pietiekumi daudz [?] telpas.

VIRGINIA TĪKLAJAS | VIRGINIA TĪKLAJAS"""@lv, """Bringing hives to seed fields!

[?] [?] of a highly nutritious dietary product — honey, which is especially necessary for children, the exhausted, and the weak. We also carry [?] bee-collected pollen and bee venom.

However, [?] are like those pollinated by cultivated plants. By using bee colonies for this task, the yields of our garden crops, as well as [?] [?] and many other cultivated plants' seed yields, increase precisely by as much as the yields of these crops rise [?]. From the additional fruits and seeds provided by bees in plant pollination, agriculture gains 8 and even 10 [?] times higher income than from the honey brought by bees [?].

Bees [?] need nectar for collection, but flowers need bees as carriers of foreign pollen [?]. For the so-called entomophilous plants, which are pollinated with the help of insects, [?] our most important fodder plants — red clover, alsike clover, alfalfa, white clover or bee clover, sainfoin, etc. These plants produce seeds [?] only when bees and bumblebees have flown around their [?] multiple times and brought foreign pollen, which, having germinated on the flower [?], fertilizes the ovules and ensures seed yield.

If bee [?] are farther than [?] from clover, buckwheat, etc. seed fields, then bee colonies do not [?] them. By bringing bee colonies to seed fields, bee flights sometimes increase, and as a result, double or even triple yields of red clover and other plants' seeds are obtained.

The kolkhoz named after Sudmalis in Imanta, Dobele district, and the kolkhoz named [?] in [?] district, the kolkhoz "Komunars" in Dobele district, the kolkhoz "Komunisma ceļš" in Jelgava district, the kolkhozes "Uzvara" and "Cīņa" in Bauska district, etc., by using bees in the pollination work of red clover, obtain 3—4 centners and even larger seed yields per hectare, whereas without bringing bees, they obtain only 1—1.5 centners of seeds per hectare.

In 1955, the kolkhoz "Komunars" in Dobele district obtained 6.7 centners of seeds from a 30-hectare white clover seed field, which was pollinated by 17 of the kolkhoz's own bee colonies. Meanwhile, in 1957, when this kolkhoz [?] [?] organized intensive pollination of the white clover seed field by bringing an additional 50 bee colonies from other farms to the already existing ones, the kolkhoz obtained an average of 14 centners of seeds per hectare.

It has been established in experiments that a full seed yield from red clover flowers is obtained if each clover flower is visited by 5—12 bees and they bring a rich mixture of pollen. Such conditions can be created if no fewer than 3, but even better — 5 bee colonies per sowing hectare are brought to the red clover seed field. Under the conditions of the Latvian SSR, with 5 bee colonies per hectare, 6 centners of red clover seeds were obtained. Bee colonies should be brought to the seed field just before the plants begin to bloom. Bee colonies [?] nights. If they [?] are 1—2—3 km away from the apiary, precautionary measures must be taken so that the flying bees do not return to the apiary location. The following can be done: 1) bee colonies are first taken to a honey source (raspberries, shrubs) and brought to the seed field just before the pollinated plants begin to bloom; 2) [?] a week before the bee colonies are selected, special colonies are formed from young bees that do not fly back. Such bee colonies are brought to the seed fields a week before the plants begin to bloom.

Some beekeepers, based on their experience, recommend the following precautionary measures: 1) bee colonies are brought to the seed field of the plants to be pollinated directly from the apiary, immediately placing a [?] fast [?] flight board that is longer than the hive, to direct bee flights along the ends of the flight board; after a few days, the flight board is removed; 2) [?] colonies are placed for a couple of days in a [?] room, [?] hive, to ensure enough [?] space for the brood.

In any case, a weaker bee colony should be left at the earlier apiary location, [?] to which the returning bees will join. Weak bee colonies should be placed near a separate seed field and no closer than 2 km from other colonies. Bees should be left at the seed field of the plants to be pollinated for the entire blooming period.

To encourage bees to better visit red clover flowers, approximately [?] alsike clover should be sown near the crops.

Good results have been achieved by training bees, i.e., [?] feeding bee colonies with [?] [?] that [?] with red clover flowers during the clover blooming period. Syrup is made from 1 part sugar and 1 part water; the water is boiled. When the syrup [?] cools to 30°C, clover flower [?] (which [?] from clover heads [?] green parts of the heads) is immersed in it for several hours. The next morning [?] such syrup, from which the residue has settled, is poured into a feeding trough and distributed in portions of 100—200 grams to each bee colony, placing the feeding trough above the frames. This [?] begins as soon as the first blooming clover heads can be obtained for syrup preparation and continues every day until the clover in the seed field has finished blooming.

To increase seed yields, every farm should select a strong apiary that ensures complete pollination of all seed field plants. Bee colonies should be used for pollination [?] starting with orchards — [?] and ending with early [?] clover sowing — [?] in the first half. Bees also obtain honey from the plants to be pollinated.

It is strictly necessary to ensure that the area around the apiary is not overgrown with flowering plants and that no toxic chemicals that can poison bees are applied.

An account should be made of the achieved results and seed yield increases to share experience with other agricultural specialists and help raise the seed yields so [?] needed by our republic's agriculture.
